After losing her job in 2021 during the Sydney lockdown, Hannah decided she wanted to find a new career that is fun and rewarding. After spending two days completing the AUSTSWIM teaching course, she knew she had found her next role.

Hannah fell in in love with swim teaching, her team at Gunyama Park and working with kids in a fun and educational environment.

Hannah now teaches infant classes at Gunyama Park Aquatic and Recreation Centre and works at the front desk as a customer service officer.

Teaching the youngest children water confidence and safety is one of the most rewarding jobs.

Hannah focuses on activity-based learning that enables maximum participation even for the youngest. GOswim lessons start with children of six months and Hannah highlights the importance of learning how to be confident in the water while having fun, making friends and bonding with parents, even at an early age.

Learning how to swim should be everyone’s priority. Besides being important for children’s health and safety, swimming is fun.

Our Learn to Swim lessons return after the short holiday break on 17 January 2022. We look forward to welcoming our community back to GOswim.
